A chairde,
I am pleased to announce that the Pan Celtic International Festival will resume in 2023!
We will be adhering to the traditional dates, commencing the day after Easter Bank Holiday Monday, therefore the official dates for the next festival are:
Tuesday – Sunday, 11 – 16 April 2023 (even though Sunday has always been included in the festival dates, events generally conclude late at night on the Saturday night of the festival to allow for travel time for delegations returning home.)
Ceatharlach has been appointed Host Town for the 2023 festival – Bríde de Róiste and her distinguished lieutenants, Emma & Ollie, have commenced preparations and an advance brochure will be forwarded to you.
We will also adhere to the general timetable of our previous festivals.
I would like to draw your attention to the Pan Celtic International Song Contest.
National Committees have a number of options open to them when entering for the 2023 Pan Celtic International Song Contest.
In instances where National Song Contests had already taken place by the time the 2020 festival was cancelled the winning songs may be entered in the 2023 Pan Celtic International Song Contest if National Committees wish to do so.
Such songs may be entered in addition to the winning song if a National Song Contest is held in 2023.
National Committees are not required to hold a National Song Contest in 2023 if they do not wish to do so.
This means that there may be 1 entry or 2 entries per nation in the 2023 competition.
The Pan Celtic website will be updated regularly.
Regarding accommodation – Bríde will forward details to you in due course.
I look forward to seeing you all again.
Le meas,
Máirín
